Sometimes the best ideas come out of the Blue …
Well, it was actually a conversation on quite a grey day that led us to ponder the future. With over forty years of
experience, including at Director level, founding partners Darren Collman and Danion Salmon eventually came up with the concept
of Blue.
We wanted to operate without the shackles of a big corporate chain and concentrate on what really matters. Our focus
was, and remains to be, providing great customer service, so we improved on the things we thought were important and got rid
of the things we felt were of little value. We aimed for a truly modern service based on traditional values with an innovative
twist.
This is already proving to be a formula that really works, with an ever-increasing number of customers coming to us following
a personal recommendation. We consider this a great compliment and also believe it is confirmation that our knowledge,
expertise and commitment to service is the key to our success.
Sadly, Danion passed away in the spring of 2008, but Blue continues to grow and expand with the founding values he
helped to create. In his memory, a percentage of profits each year will be donated to the Samaritans.
